Description of the organisation

The eFkropka Foundation was created on the initiative of professionals involved in the treatment of people with mental illness and therapeutic work, and the Foundation’s activities involve people after mental health crises, the so-called Experts by Experience. The aim of the organisation is to prevent the isolation of people after a mental health crisis, to counteract their stigmatisation and to break the stereotypes associated with mental illness.

Good practice

Mateusz Waligóra’s expedition – action #idziemyzmateuszemwaligora
The polar explorer, personally affected by depression, walked alone and reached the South Pole with a yellow ribbon pinned on as a sign of solidarity with people in mental crises (58 days). eFkropka was a partner in this expedition. The traveller had to overcome numerous weaknesses and difficulties, just as people with mental crises struggle. He prooves that it is possible to achieve dream goals despite having a depressive illness.

Target audience

A diverse target group including youth people too.

Deconstructed stereotypes
