The Association of Young People and People with Mental Problems, Their Families and Friends POMOST was founded in 2000 to help young people and their families cope with mental problems. The main objectives of the organisation are to support young people after mental crises to return to life in society, to prevent the permanent disability of people with mental illness and to fight against harmful prejudices and stigmatisation of people with mental problems in society.

Good practice

The project “Raise awareness on drepression – don’t judge, react!”
Between September and November 2023, meetings will be held with young people in selected schools by a group consisting of a psychologist and a trainer-in-training. Their aim is to prevent problems with mental health and community care and to combat the stigmatisation of people going through a mental health crisis, to familiarise young people with the topic of adolescent depression and to counteract self-harm and suicide attempts by increasingly younger people.

Target audience

Primary and secondary school pupils
