Description of the organisation

Stop Suicide is a Swiss association founded in 2000 by students after the suicide of one of their friends. Since then, the association kept growing and is now leading several prevention actions and workshops in schools, universities and also works as counselors for media and educational structures.

Good practice

This comic book has been developed to raise awareness on mental health disorders amongst young people. This comic book also hopes to encourage people to support their relatives dealing with mental health disorders. By presenting various daily life situations, the association behind the project aims to prevent youth suffering that can lead to suicide. 

The comic was freely distributed during the prevention workshop in youth centers, schools, and social structures. They disseminated more than 13,500 books.

In addition, the association created a  website that gathers emergency numbers, resources and provides tips on how to spot when a friend is suffering and how to support them.
