Good practice

The campaign aims to counteract the stigmatisation and self-stigmatisation of people experiencing mental disorders. It will run until the end of 2024. It includes educational material on the project’s website to enable people to learn and broaden their knowledge about mental disorders, and to adopt an attitude of kindness and openness towards people in mental health crisis and their relatives. The campaign is supported by stories of their experiences from well-known people who take part in the educational films. In interviews, the campaign ambassadors tell what a stigmatised person feels and what can and should be done to stop the stigma. In addition, educational films are produced with experts who present the topic from a scientific perspective.

Target audience

The campaign is aimed at the general public, but especially young people and young adults aged 16 to 30 (with a particular focus on those living in smaller towns with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants)
